10 Disney Logics That Make No Sense When You Think About It

The mystical world of Disney is, of course, full of magic, so most plot holes and strange phenomena can be easily explained. However, there are many weird logic in the House of Mouse that not even the most powerful magic spell can cover up.

For example, why do animal characters in Disney Movies often feel embarrassed in swimsuits, when they stay butt naked most of the time? Or why Cinderella’s shoes never disappear like her clothes and wagon? The realm of Disney is full of inconsistent moments like these, and today, we’re going to look at some of the most glaring logic that the House of Mouse has made throughout the years.

#1. Hades Is Oblivious Of Hercules’ Fate

For a God of Death, it’s a bit strange to see Hades having absolutely no idea that Hercules is alive after all these years. When the demigod was born, Hades sent his minions to kill him, but they couldn’t even put a scratch on them. When they lied to Hades that Hercules was dead, the latter also didn’t even bother to confirm. A sloppy move from Hades.

#2. Prince Florian Kisses Snow White For No Reason At All

When you take a stroll around the woods and see an unconscious girl lying on a bed, the first thing you should do is check on her well-being or call for some help. Instead, the rowdy Prince Florian just casually steps up and gives her a non-consensual kiss. It could have been a serious crime in modern days, my prince!

#3. Cinderella’s Slippers Stay Intact For Some Reason

Instead of disappearing like her clothes and wagon, somehow Cinderella’s glass slippers magically remain when the clock strikes twelve. The fact that the story doesn’t even bother to explain this twist later on makes this a neverending mystery.

#4. The Beast Doesn’t Age At All After Returning To Human Form

How many years has it been ever since the Beast was turned into his monstrous form? One, two years, or ten? Nevertheless, when he reverts back to human form, Disney also forgets to make him age like a normal being. Instead. the prince just stays in the form of a young man, although he’s in fact around his forties or something. Hey, as long as he’s still good-looking!

#5. Belle’s Motivation Also Remains Inconsistent

Remember when Belle from Beauty and the Beast spends her whole opening sequence singing about how she yearns for adventure to faraway lands? Well, as it turns out, she ends up marrying a young wealthy man, who lives in a castle not so far away from her hometown. Where’s the adventure in that?

#6. Genie Should Have Made Aladdin A Real Prince

Instead of trying to fool the Sultan and Princess Jasmine by dressing up as a prince, both Genie and Aladdin should have thought outside the box, and made the latter a real prince instead. A prince with actual wealth and real-life status, instead of having to lie around and struggle to tell Jasmine the truth. This wish wouldn’t have clashed with any other rules by Genie, either.

#7. Captain Hook Forgets To Use Pixie Dust On Himself

One thing that has been bothering me about Peter Pan, is that Captain Hook never once uses the Pixie dust to make him or his ship fly. While many may argue that adults can’t use Pixie dust, the fact that Hook used the Pixie dust to make his ship fly to London in the 2002 sequel debunks this theory. With the Pixie dust at his hand, Hook could have made his battles with Pan a lot easier.

#8. Disney Princesses Touch Everything That Glows

It’s really a bad habit that these Disney royalties need to quit right away, for their own well-being. Normally, when you see a mysterious object glowing in the dark, you refrain yourself from touching it for obvious safety reasons. However, characters such as Belle or Aurora let the curiosity take over, and end up regretting their actions.

#9. Tarzan Speaks American Accent

Have you ever thought about Tarzan, a guy who grew up with apes and elephants, learns how to speak human language through a bunch of British explorers and scientists, and ends up speaking an American accent? Who could he have learned the American accent from?

#10. Elsa’s Power Can Pass Through Shoes, But Not Gloves

At the start of Frozen, the powerful Elsa is given a pair of white gloves to restrain her ice power from seeping through. This means, the gloves must have been enchanted or some sort, since afterward, Elsa’s power can pass through her shoes just fine. Remember that time when she created the whole ice castle just by stepping her foot on the ground?
