In a captivating video shared by Essence, Zahara dances with enthusiasm, introducing herself to the crowd with charm and charisma. The Golden State native, hailing from Los Angeles, embraced her new sisterhood in a celebration that radiated joy and sisterly bonds.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, founded in 1908, holds a special place in the heart of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Zahara's initiation into the Mu Pi Chapter, established in 1979, adds a new layer to the legacy of this esteemed sisterhood. 
In a celebratory Instagram post weeks before the move-in date, the Eternals actress announced her daughter's plans to attend the university. Jolie captioned a photo of her daughter with her fellow Spelman sisters, "Zahara with her Spelman sisters!"
"Congratulations to all new students starting this year," Jolie wrote.
"A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl," Jolie added.

Pitt, 59, later told PEOPLE exclusively that it's "really beautiful" that his daughter will be attending Spelman College.
Jolie and Zahara met Spelman College President Dr. Helene Gayle and Vice President for Student Affairs Darryl Holloman during Zahara's move-in. They commemorated the occasion with Instagram posts.

Jolie posed with Gayle on the Spelman College campus in the first photo. The two women chatted as Holloman filmed them in a video. When asked how she felt about being a Spelman mother, Jolie said, "I'm going to cry!" I haven't begun to cry yet."
The president of the university joked that there will be "plenty of time to cry" at the upcoming event, which she teased was designed to "purposely induce [tears] — bring it all out."
"I heard tomorrow night's the big night," Jolie replied. "I'm holding it together."
Jolie and Pitt also have twins Vivienne and Knox, 15, as well as Shiloh, 17, Pax, 19, and Maddox, 22.
