Woman Surprisingly Spots Someone Hiding From The Sun While Walking In The Park
Sometimes, the weather can be hard, and isn't it just sad to see stray animals out there without the cozy homes they should have? Just think about it! Lacking a loving home makes them not only go hungry and thirsty but also miss out on the care they need. They have to endure in the streets, facing all kinds of weather. Sadly, this reality lowers the chance for these poor animals to survive on their own. However, it is lucky that at the right time, there’s always someone with a big heart to step in to help these poor little animals.
In Southern California, a woman exploring a park noticed something fluffy and white hidden behind a building. She approached slowly and found herself face-to-face with a lonely dog. Worried about the heat of the sun, she knew she had to help. However, every time she tried to approach the dog, he ran right away.
Realizing she needed assistance, she contacted Logan's Legacy Dog Rescue. And Mulligan, as they named him later, was incredibly nervous about rescuers. Whenever they got close, he would slip away.
In the end, they had to develop a plan. Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan's Legacy, placed some tempting treats in a humane dog trap and patiently waited.
“He really needed help, but he just wouldn’t go to anybody,” Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy, told The Dodo, an animal channel. “He would run away. Then he’d go back to his same spot behind the building, where it was shady and safe.”
Initially, Mulligan dashed away from Hall and the crate. But suddenly, his keen nose detected the attractive smell of the treats. He sniffed them as he ran past, then abruptly turned around and darted into the trap.
“He started to run from us, but then he did a double take,” Hall said. “He sniffed the treats in the trap as he went by, and he turned around as fast as he could. He ran right into the trap.”
Finally, Mulligan was safe from the blazing sun and secure in Hall's crate. As he enjoyed his treats, Hall carefully transported him to her car. During the ride to Camino Pet Hospital, something unexpected happened.
Hall could hear Mulligan sighing from the back seat. He fell asleep remarkably quickly and deeply, clearly understanding that he was now safe.
“I could literally hear him sighing in the back,” Hall said. “I’ve never seen a dog fall asleep so fast and so soundly. He knew that he was safe.”
At Camino Pet Hospital, a compassionate team of veterinarians gave Mulligan a clean bill of health. Afterward, he was placed in foster care, where he thrived. Hall's ultimate goal is to find a forever home for this sweet pup, but for now, she's delighted that he's in a safe and caring environment.
Mulligan is incredibly content in his foster home, constantly sporting a happy smile. He's a genuinely lovable dog, and Hall couldn't be happier to have him in her care.
