Suzette's job is to help dogs in need, and she's used to finding them in all sorts of situations, like when they're lost or abandoned. But this time was different. When she got to the truck yard, she saw a mama dog named June. June was pacing around, looking really upset and making sad sounds. Suzette could tell that June had recently had puppies, but there were no puppies in sight.

Suzette tried searching the whole truck yard, but she couldn't find June's puppies. It was really heartbreaking. Suzette knew that June was going through something very tough, so she gave her a big hug to comfort her.
