Woman Hears Strange Noises From Wall And Gets Shocked Knowing A 2-Week-Old-Baby Trapped Inside

Heard sounds coming from the wall? Pretty scary, isn’t it? Well, that's exactly what happened in a San Antonio house recently. The homeowner started hearing these weird sounds from inside her walls and had no idea what was going on. So she decided to be a bit of a detective and check it out. What she found, though, was really surprising!

“Initially, she thought she might be hearing things,” Lisa Norwood, public relations manager for San Antonio Animal Care Services, told The Dodo, an animal channel.

As she listened closely and gently tapped on the wall, a response came from within—a kitten-like meow. It was as if sounds came from a trapped kitten who was pleading for help with its meows.

There was actually a baby cat trapped inside the wall, and the woman couldn't understand how the kitten ended up there. Besides, there was no sign of the mother cat. In a panic, she reached out to the fire department and San Antonio Animal Care Services for assistance.

“The trapped kitten responded with an apparent ‘help me!’ meow,” Norwood said. “[The woman] didn’t know how the kitten got in the wall, and momma was nowhere to be found. She called the fire department and animal care services to help.”

Soon, the San Antonio Fire Department arrived at the scene, accompanied by animal care officer John Cortez and rookie animal care apprentice Mariana Gine. As the cries inside the wall grew louder and more urgent, it became clear that something needed to be done right away.

The rescuers cut a small hole in the wall after determining the exact location of the frightened kitten. The cries became even more intense, indicating that they were close to their goal. After a bit of careful searching, they successfully extracted a frightened 2-week-old gray kitten from her small space. The tiny cat, now named Nimbus, was relieved to be free and quite hungry.

Today, Nimbus lives at the Animal Defense League of Texas, where dedicated staff members ensure she receives all the care and attention needed for her growth and well-being. Nimbus's life has taken a turn for the better, and Lisa Norwood believes that sunny days lie ahead for this adorable little kitten. She expressed, "The sky's the limit for little Nimbus."
