Woman Gets Surprised By One Isn’t Like The Others In Her Box Of Stuffed Animals

We beg that stuffed animals are the favorite toys of not only kids but also many adults. Especially for those who are animal lovers, their homes simply cannot be without these cuddly toys because they are so adorable and the ideal representation of actual animals. However, it turns into a funny story when Brigette Brouillard, who currently leads an animal shelter, accidentally spots a very extraordinary baby lying among her lovely plush toys.

Brouillard is an animal expert, and she frequently interacts closely with the bats, skunks, squirrels, and other wild animals that live there.

Brigette Brouillard, the founder of the Second Chances Wildlife Center, shares her home with a variety of animal companions, and occasionally, the Second Chances residents manage to surprise her. Recently, a tiny opossum by the name of Yeti startled Brouillard by climbing into a toy basket and hiding among the stuffed animals.

Yeti had previously been caught by Brouillard entering the plush toys. However, what was surprising was that the cunning opossum had managed to climb into this particular basket, which was much higher than where she could usually reach.

“It’s normal for opossums to get in our stuffed animal baskets for little siestas,” Brouillard said. “But what surprised me was the fact that she was able to get into the basket, which was a couple of [feet] off the ground.”

Yeti has made it clear that she will not be leaving her cozy perch anytime soon now that she has found it.

“It’s her default go-to spot,” Brouillard said. “It’s soft and comfortable for her.” As much as he finds Yeti's antics amusing in general, Brouillard particularly likes to watch the cute opossum get ready for her naps.“I … absolutely adore how she [tucks] herself in under her blankets,” Brouillard said.

“Sometimes she’s completely under them, and sometimes you see her little head and arms sticking out just like a person would be under the covers. Overall, I love that she feels so safe and comfortable in her environment.”

Yeti has been a resident of Second Chances since the fall of 2022. Because he has special needs, Yeti is unable to reintegrate into nature. Fortunately, the fuzzy girl has been granted permanent sanctuary at Second Chances, meaning she will never have to part with her beloved stuffed animals.
