Woman Avoids A Creepy Stalker Thanks To Safety Tips On Reddit

Have you ever thought what you posted on the internet could save a person’s life, or what you read accidentally on social media could get you out of a dangerous situation one day? That may sound incredible, but people usually learn unconsciously from what they read. Sometimes, in an urgent moment, the lesson they think they never know about will pop up in their head and tell them what to do.

A Reddit user called u/aggressivelycanadian got rid of a dangerous stalker by following tips she had read in another post on Reddit. She was grateful for that, so she took her story on social media to thank netizens.
The poster encountered a strange man with a yellow mask on her way to the bathroom in a deserted mall. Though the man was heading out while she entered the place, he turned around when he saw her.

The woman’s instinct spotted danger from the man, and a Reddit thread appeared in her head out of the blue to help her. She remembered a piece of advice under that post saying that you had better steer clear of public bathrooms if you were followed. Another commenter added a helpful method to identify the suspected stalker, which was dropping by a store the suspicious person might not be keen on. Following the gut, the Redditor went into the dollhouse store nearby.

The store counter was empty, so the Reddit user pretended to enjoy the miniatures section while noticing the man’s movement. Unfortunately, the man creeped the woman out by standing a few feet away while keeping his eyes on her. Despite the terrible fear emerging in her heart, the poster managed to grab her phone to call her husband, who was waiting in the car outside the mall, at the same time abruptly heading toward the exit.

The creepy stalker realized his prey was trying to escape, so he followed her quickly. By the time he nearly reached the woman, the call got through to the husband. The poster turned the speaker on and clearly informed her spouse about the suspicious man, and her husband came out of the car to help her immediately.
