“Nothing Changed Except For Everything” Recap

Will Trent Episode 12 Cast “Nothing Changed Except For Everything" Recap

The 1980s were a dramatically different time for African-Americans in police enforcement. Amanda and Evelyn tried to protect the prostitutes, but they could only do so much. Whenever Amanda and Evelyn tried to do fieldwork, fellow cops Butch and Rick would distract them with paperwork and reports. Amanda and her pals still felt bad about turning away prostitutes in the 1980s because they were afraid of them. The victims bore telltale signs of their ordeal. Their mouths and eyes were sewn shut, hinting that they had witnessed or heard illicit activity. Don't talk and don't open your eyes.

In the 1980s, prostitutes and female police officers brought attention to the norm that women should not speak out or question authority. Now that it was too late, Amanda wished she had asked the pimp's lawyer more pointed questions. Racism clearly persisted in this situation. The waiter made it quite clear that Amanda and Evelyn were not welcome inside the restaurant to visit James. Even he had forgotten about them and then suddenly started praising them. Whether it was the death of Lucy or Will's family, James most certainly knew more than he was letting on. When presented with the truth, will Amanda and Will accept it?

As a result of Amanda and Will's secrecy, the Mitchell women found themselves in the thick of the drama. Evelyn and Faith warned Will and Amanda to be honest with one another since they saw how secrets nearly tore apart their family. Both Amanda and Will were convinced that the other would never forgive or trust them again. The situation was not improved by secrecy. Due to the traumatic experiences he had in most foster families, Will has associated with victims of foster care from the first season of Will Trent.

When he examined the second body, he found the infamous handkerchief that eventually led authorities to the kids' home. Neither Will nor Angie had happy memories of their time in the children's home, but they do recall that it wasn't as bad as some of the other places they'd lived. Like a can of leftover veggies, they seemed completely worthless and discarded. But both of them explored the lion's den as more of the permanent residents were being ruthlessly killed.

They didn't want to talk about what had happened, but they knew they had to move fast to keep their loved ones safe from the killer. Will has always only sought affection and esteem, be it from his family or Angie. The only good thing that came out of his difficult background was meeting her, but they're usually both too broken to have a solid relationship. If they can survive this, they might have a chance. Will can't afford to lose his security system, so he takes Betty with him everywhere. Since Will had held on so strongly to the people in his life, his response to finding that Amanda had known about his mother for almost 20 years was severe.

Amanda has been like a mother to him ever since they met in college. He put his complete trust in her. Maybe they'll be able to move on from the past now that he knows the complete truth. The return of Mark-Paul Gosselaar as Paul Campano was funny, but his character was inappropriate for the seriousness of the issue. Given that he had previously spent time in the children's home's care, his return seemed inevitable; yet, he offered more comic relief than dramatic tension.

Angie, Paul, and Will get along great. They're not really pals, but they have the familiarity of family connections when it comes to insulting each other. It's fascinating that Paul Campano still relies solely on Will to keep him safe despite his obvious mistrust of police enforcement. Will Trent excels in developing nuanced characters and stirring plots. The most thrilling scenarios involved groups of people working together to solve a problem.

Omewood saw the value of Will's self-assertion after the events of Season 1, Episode 9 of Will Trent, in which the team worked to restore Faith to Will. In Season 1 Episode 12 of Will Trent, he was happy to be Will's wingman when grilling Percy since he saw how important it was for Will and Angie to find out the truth on their own. The team as a whole appeared to have stopped operating as two separate entities. After all that's occurred, I truly hope we can retain Angie. That's beyond our financial means right now.
