Why Is Kevin Costner Leaving Yellowstone?

Why is Kevin Costner leaving Yellowstone? Here we go! The most recent episode of Yellowstone ended on a nail-biting cliffhanger as Jamie got even further involved with the manipulative Sarah Atwood. We knew she would want to win at whatever cost, but the situation turned unexpectedly nasty when they planned their next move...
It would appear that Sarah Atwood, who works for Market Equities, is the company's equivalent of Beth Dutton in that she is a woman who is not afraid to use whatever means necessary to achieve her goals. It seemed as though her seduction of Jamie was nothing more than a scheme to triumph over his family. However, we cannot help but question how far she is prepared to go to accomplish the goals she has set for herself.

When her conversation with Jamie took a shockingly unexpected turn at the end of Yellowstone season five, episode six, it was quite plausible that this was the case. To rewind a little bit, Sarah had suggested to Jamie that she would support him in his bid to become governor, but he had mentioned that it was likely that it would be impossible for him to defeat John in a "fair fight." His partner concurred with him and then said, "I don't think we can allow him show up to the fight."
Is it, therefore, the woman's intention to coerce Jamie into murdering his adoptive father so that she might ascend to the position of the governor? The actress who plays Atwood, Dawn Olivieri, recently interviewed our sister site, TV Sentence, in which she said that the significance of the line is "impossible to pin down."

It's possible that she was referring to the assassination of John, whose popularity and policies pose a danger to what Market Equities is working toward achieving in Montana. The assassination of the Dutton patriarch would almost probably eliminate him from consideration for the position of governor. However, it is highly unlikely that she will get her hands dirty herself; hence, the question arises of whether Jamie can complete the task.
Because he killed his biological father, we know that he can do it, but the question is whether or not he would be able to kill the guy who brought him up. Olivieri dropped a hint by saying that one of the co-creators, Taylor Sheridan, "Doesn't like to replicate things," which suggests that it is doubtful that Jamie will end up murdering one of his other fathers.

How exactly will they ensure that John doesn't "show up to the fight"?

The sneak peek for the seventh episode of Season 5 provides a hint. When Sarah says, "Sounds like an impeachable offense to me," Jamie responds, "Yes, it does." Sarah and Jamie are talking about the governor when she makes this statement. Because of this, we can't help but wonder whether Jamie and Sarah will come up with a plan to oust John from his position as governor; after all, they are both intelligent enough to pull it off.
The question that will therefore be on everyone's mind is whether or not they will be able to pull it off before John, or maybe more significantly, Beth, figures out what they are doing and puts an end to it.
Even while Beth has not yet established the link between Sarah and Market Equities, it is only a matter of time after she takes a picture of Atwood's (probably phony) ID from her handbag. However, when she makes the connection, that will be another thing altogether.
