A shooting incident occurred this Thursday, January 5, in Miami while a music video was being shot for Moroccan-American rapper French Montana. At least 10 people are believed to have been hit by gunfire including New Orleans rapper, Rob49. There is no word on his current condition. French Montana’s bodyguard is said to have been hit and is reported to be in critical condition. The rap artist was also hit but is said to be in stable condition.
Video footage uploaded onto social media shows the location outside ‘The Licking’ restaurant located on the 17600 block of Northwest 27th Avenue in Miami Gardens, Florida. Several people can be seen lying on the ground. At least four people are thought to have been airlifted to Ryder Trauma Centre.

A witness said that a situation evolved after somebody in the crowd watching the video shoot had his wallet and watch stolen. Ced Moul told the news outlet: “It was like at least 13, 14, 15 gunshots. It was very rapid, it sounded like an assault rifle”.
“I took off running, and I was looking back, but I was like, You know what? Let me just duck first, and then people started asking me, you know, ‘Can you help me?’ When I realized people were asking for help, there was nothing you could do about it when you got shot”, he added.

Patrol units from Miami Gardens Police responded to the incident just before 8pm, along with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units. There were three different crime scenes according to a police spokesperson.
MGPD detective Diana Gorgue told 7News: “We’re still working. Yeah, there’s multiple shots, there’s multiple cases. We’re still working. We can’t confirm any numbers at this moment, because everything is still fresh, and they’re still investigating.
