These AI Arts Recast The Avengers With Famous 90s Stars, And The Final Result Is Hilarious

AI application is getting stronger than ever in 2023. From the rise of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and numerous other chatbots to help you with writing your thesis, to the AI-generated art that is swarming the internet nowadays, it’s not exaggerated to say the new era of artificial intelligence is coming. Marvel fans are one of the communities that benefit the most, as they now don’t have to wait for their superheroes to appear on the big screen anymore. Now, with just a computer and a few simple prompts, you can bring your hero to life on your own, and can even reimagine them into various unique scenarios.

Facebook user Word Play is one of many hardcore Marvel fans to capitalize on the AI magic by using the Midjourney app, to create their own unique heroes in their imagination. One of their most popular works, which sees some of our original Avengers lineup portrayed by 90s stars such as Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, or Arnold Schwarzenegger, receives thousands of likes on social media. Let’s take a look at these hilarious pictures below.

#1. Tom Cruise as Iron Man

To be honest, if Marvel didn’t cast Robert Downey Jr. as the philanthropist, Tom Cruise would be their first choice. This AI-generated picture has perfectly captured what the Mission Impossible star should look like behind a suit, and make us wonder what could have been.

#2. Brad Pitt as Thor

Besides Chris Hemsworth, Brad Pitt would be the first actor who comes to our mind to play the God of Thunder. I mean, just look at his gorgeous blond hair in Gladiator. Luckily, the AI can do the imagining part for us, and here’s the result.

#3. Mila Jovonovich as Black Widow

Fun fact: Mila’s daughter, Ever, portrays the young Natasha Romanoff in the 2021 Black Widow movie. So it’s only fitting for the veteran actress to take the moniker, at least in this image.

#4. Michael J. Fox as Hawkeye

In this AI-generated picture, Michael J. Fox looks like a younger version of Jeremy Renner, who plays Barton in the MCU.

#5. Arnold Schwarzenegger as Hulk

Here we have our Terminator as both Bruce Banner…

And the Hulk. Considering his impressive muscle mass, this is a befitting choice.

#6. Jude Law as Jarvis

Funnily enough, this shot neither looks like Jude Law nor Jarvis.

#7. Will Smith as Black Panther

While Chadwick Boseman has done an excellent job playing Black Panther, Will Smith’s look and charisma would make him another good candidate.

But why would you leave your fingertips exposed like this?

#8. Brendan Fraser as Star-Lord

90s Brendan Fraser might be too good-looking to play the chaotic Peter Quill, who was perfectly portrayed by Chris Pratt. However, he doesn’t look too shabby here either.

The mask is quite questionable though.

#9. Bruce Willis as Captain America

This just looks so wrong on so many levels.

I guess you can say this version of Steve Rogers is too hard to die.

#10. Jim Carrey as Loki

Needless to say, Jim Carrey is born for these kinds of roles, in fact, he actually did wear the Loki mask in The Mask, and it’s one of his best performances ever.

Jim Carrey would make a perfect God of Trickster with his trademark devilish smile and expression. This mask is a bit too much, though.
