Steppenwolf Vs. Thanos: Who Would Win In A Fight?

Thanos possesses one of the most powerful physiologies in the entire Marvel Universe. He has defeated some of the most powerful beings in the multiverse thanks to his alien physiology. Thanos is an Eternal. The Eternals are a race of super-powered beings created by the Celestials. He gains incredible strength, quickness, toughness, and immortality as a result. Thanos also carries the Deviant gene, which gives him the ability to create cosmic energy. Combine both of these and he becomes an extremely powerful being.

The Mad Titan has additionally enhanced his abilities through mystical, genetic, and bionic means. He was classified as a Category 1 Life Ender, a cosmic-level threat, by the Nova Corps. Throw the Infinity Gauntlet into this equation and you have an incredibly powerful creature.

On the other hand, Steppenwolf has New God's physiology, which makes him a phenomenally strong being. The evolution of new gods has been rapid, and they are now stable genetic beings with perfect evolution. Steppenwolf's New God physiology makes him extraordinarily powerful. His Electro Axe enhances this even more, outperforming Cyborg, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman. With one hand, he easily bent an Atlantean helmet. Even when restrained by at least eight Amazons, he was able to throw three horses with their Amazon riders on top of them with ease and came close to grabbing the Mother box.

He is extremely strong in his legs, which allows him to leap great distances. Only Superman and Darkseid are stronger than he is. He has a 10,000-ton lifting capacity.

Thanos is regarded as one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. Being an Eternal/Deviant hybrid, he already had a tremendous amount of strength, and the bionic and genetic improvements only served to increase it. After his initial run-in with Mistress Death, he took his first step toward boundless strength. After being killed by Adam Warlock, Thanos is revived by Mistress Death with new and improved abilities.

Thanos is capable of effortlessly lifting close to 100 tons, according to his strength rating of Class 100. The extent of his strength, however, knows no bounds. He has the strength to compete head-to-head with superhuman beings like Thor and the Hulk. This battle is won by Thanos thanks to his seemingly limitless strength.

Point: Thanos (2:0) Steppenwolf

Thanos was regarded as a genius of his kind even when he was young. Thanos may be the most intelligent character in the entire Marvel Universe thanks to his incredibly long life, which allowed him to increase his intelligence to insane levels. His complex plans to conquer the world typically put his brilliant intellect on display.

He is current with all scientific and technological advancements occurring throughout the multiverse. He gazed endlessly into the Infinity Well to discover the mysteries of the galaxy even while he was with Mistress Death. He's presumably the most knowledgeable being besides the Watchers.

Warlord Steppenwolf is also intelligent. His vast knowledge appears to have more to do with experience than intelligence. He is a skilled tactician who relies more on strategy than on his Parademon forces or power.

For example, because the planet doesn't have any defenses strong enough to stop him, he only attacks Earth again when the Mother Boxes inform him of the deaths of the Old Gods and Superman.
As Darkseid's herald and second in command, he is also a skilled leader. He has invaded and ruled other worlds for millennia. This battle is won by Thanos.

Point: Thanos (3:0) Steppenwolf

Thanos is so strong and resilient that he has resisted attacks that could have destroyed entire planets without suffering any damage, tanked blows from Thor, whose strength has been increased by the Power Gem, deflected blasts from the powerful Silver Surfer at point-blank range, and deflected blasts from Odin and Galactus.

Steppenwolf is also incredibly tough, and his armor, which makes him nearly invulnerable, only serves to highlight this. Steppenwolf's feats of invulnerability include withstanding blows from Aquaman and Wonder Woman and only being marginally harmed by blasts from Cyborg's arm cannon.

His durability does, however, have its limits. Superman's heat vision burned through his tough skin and armor. Superman tore even his horn apart before Darkseid, who had only stepped on Steppenwolf's severed head, broke his other horn.

Due to Lady Death enhancing his durability and him enhancing it with bionic and genetic improvements, Thanos prevails in this battle.

Point: Thanos (4:0) Steppenwolf

It's safe to say that Steppenwolf is super powerful as a New God but he doesn't compare to Thanos who is Eteranl/Deviant hybrid which makes him supremely more powerful. Additionally, Thanos used bionic enhancements and genetic alterations to make him even more powerful.

Even so, Steppenwolf is one of the few characters whose strength is closest to Thanos. Still, Steppenwolf would lose if a direct conflict arose between him and Thanos.
