Maya starts to feel dizzy. Her feet slip down, causing her to lose balance. Maya struggles to hang onto the rope. When she thinks about the possibility of losing Carina, it pushes her into an anxiety attack.
Everyone have to try their best to help Maya calm her mind down. Ben reassures Maya that Carina would be fine.
"Bishop, listen to me. I will find out as much as I can but right now, you have to focus, okay? Right now, you are part of the team", Chief Ross (Merle Dandridge) firmly reminds Maya of her job's resonsibility. She is Carina's partner, but right now, she is a first responder, and people's lives are depending on her actions. Ross makes Maya realize that there is nothing else she could do at the moment. Maya immediately rushes to the hospital after she has finished the rescue mission. However, there is a detour around Grey Sloane, so it would probbably take much more time for the car to get there. After acknowledging the situation, Maya decides to jump out of the car and run straight to the hospital without hesitation.
Luckily, Maya is able to spot Carina right away. Maya is breathing heavily, her voice is still shaky. There are so many things that she wants to ask, but she just feels so relieved to see that Carina is fine.
Carina has to go to the patients immediately, so the two only have a few seconds to talk. During those short moments, Carina makes sure to let Maya know that she feels grateful for Maya's presence at the hospital. Hopefully we will get to see more interactions between Maya and Carina after Carina finishes her job.
