South Korean Woman Dedicates Her Life Rescusing And Raising More Than 200 Dogs
Undoubtedly, there are many stories about dogs being rescued, and every time we know one, our hearts melt when a puppy is saved and given the life they so richly deserve. We can all agree that, like people, dogs should always be content and live wonderful lives in devoted homes. However, there are still places where dogs are treated as dishes, and the lives of these poor canines are threatened every second. This is a sad reality; nevertheless, the appearance of people like Jung Myong Sook, a woman who has dedicated over 26 years to rescuing and protecting dogs from restaurants, has changed the lives of hundreds of puppies.

In South Korea, dogs are still killed for food. They are mostly eaten by the older generation. Only recently have they become more popular as pets. And 61-year-old Jung Myoung Sook from South Korea has been saving dogs for the last 26 years. She has taken care of over 200 pups so far and has saved them all. Although Sook is not wealthy, she not only looks after stray animals but also purchases unfortunate puppies intended to be sold to restaurants.
“My babies aren’t hungry,” Sook told the Associated Press. “They can play and live freely here. " Some people talk about me, saying, ‘Why is that beggar-like middle-aged woman smiling all the time?" said Jung. “But I just focus on feeding my babies. I’m happy and healthy.”

Jung’s mission was full of difficulty, and she had to move seven times due to neighbors’ complaints about noise. However, she chose to not give up, and luckily, over time, Sook gets help from people fascinated by her loving heart.
