Shemar Moore Reveals That He's Expecting His First Child at 52, and the Baby’s Due on the Anniversary of His Mother's Passing

Shemar Moore is an American actor and former model. Blessed with smoking hot looks, Moore is undoubtedly a guy that makes women swoon. More than just an attractive man; he is an accomplished actor who won praise for his portrayal of "Malcolm Winters" in the hit TV show "The Young and the Restless."

The "S.W.A.T." actor has never been married and hasn't announced a very long or involved relationship. Moore said it was all because he is a workaholic who adores his career. “I need balance in my life. I love what I do for a living. I love it from ’action’ to ’cut,’ but I also want to walk my dogs, travel, get married, and have kids. I want balance, and it’s hard to do with the schedule that we have,” explained the actor.
However, he admits that maintaining this lifestyle isn't in his plans forever and his heart desires more, saying: “I want to be a family man. I want to be a father, I want to have a partner in crime, a woman to share [my life] with. I want to continue to evolve, I want to continue to take the next step in my life, in my personal life.”

#2 He spent his free time taking care of his mom

When he had free time in between shooting his films, Moore preferred to spend it with his mother. Since Moore's mother r was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 1999, he had never left her side. He explained, “My love for my mom is real and I want her to beat this thing. She’s my Super Woman and she needs to know that someone is out there fighting for her at all times.”
Sadly, on February 8, 2020, his mother passed away at the age of 76. The actor is going through a tough time as it seems his whole life has come crashing down. “I miss her more than I ever thought possible and I don’t know how to do this life without her.” he wrote in a post after his mother passed away. But Moore had no idea that he would receive the surprise of his life in a few years.

In early January, Moore bombed "The Jennifer Hudson Show", saying he was about to welcome his first child. But the most special thing is that the due date falls on a very important day in his life. He revealed, “I’m Shemar Moore, 52½ years old. My mother is in heaven, right now it’ll be the 3-year anniversary on February 8. And on February 8, I’m going to make one of her dreams come true because, in real life, Shemar Moore is about to be a daddy.”

The "Criminal Minds" star said, ""I'm so excited. I'm sorry she can't be here. I was worried for a while that it was a 'that ship has sailed,' kind of thing but God had my back and things lined up." He continued "It's going to be the best part of — my life is already pretty grand, but I know whenever God does call my name, once I get this experience, I'll be able to go to heaven whole."

After that, the actor shared a gender reveal video on Instagram, which also featured his baby's mom, girlfriend Jesiree Dizon. It reveals that they are having a daughter, which made the actor fall to his knees. He is genuinely delighted to be a girl dad, and we wish him all the happiness in the coming months with the newborn baby.
