Scarlett Johansson Said She's "Too Fragile" To Use Social Media

The actress from "Her" and "Black Widow" admitted that she doesn't use social media because she is too 'fragile'. "I can’t. My ego is too fragile. I can’t deal with it,” Johansson said during “The Skinny Confidential Him & Her” podcast. “My brain is too fragile. I’m like a delicate flower.” Johansson made this statement on the podcast "The Skinny Confidential Him & Her."

Johansson attempted to use Instagram for three days before giving up: "I spent 20 minutes looking at somebody’s Instagram page who worked for a friend of mine, like, now I know you have a pit bull and two daughters and you live in Burbank. I was like, what? I just wasted 17 minutes of time. I now feel like I should move to California, get this specific dog, and change my life in all these ways. I felt so bad like I was missing out on this random person’s life. I was like, I can’t do this."

Johansson acknowledged that she hasn't always spoken the appropriate thing in public, but she stated in an interview with The Gentlewoman that "I’m going to have opinions about things because that’s just who I am. I mean, everyone has a hard time admitting when they’re wrong about stuff, and for all of that to come out publicly, it can be embarrassing. To have the experience of, ‘Wow, I was really off mark there, or I wasn’t looking at the big picture, or I was inconsiderate.’ I’m also a person."
The actress and her staff do utilize social media platforms for The Outset, a skincare firm.
