Robert Downey Jr. Might Play the ‘Antithesis’ of Dominic Toretto in Vin Diesel's Final ‘Fast and Furious’ Movie

The Iron Man himself, according to Vin Diesel, wants to join the "Fast and Furious" franchise. Diesel has previously revealed his ideal choice for the "Fast XI" villain, who has been compared to a cross between Elon Musk and Tony Stark, ahead of the film's debut.
Diesel said to Variety that Robert Downey Jr. would make the perfect castmate for the finished movie. “Without telling you too much about what happens in the future, there’s a character who is the antithesis of Dom who is promoting AI and driverless cars and a philosophy that with that goes your freedom, there is somebody that believes that’s the future, and that’s at direct odds with the Toretto mentality.”

With actors like Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Rita Moreno, Brie Larson, and Jason Momoa already appearing in "Fast X," it's understandable why Diesel would be content to go for even more A-listers in the two-part sequel that will wrap off the long-running series. Matt Damon was mentioned by co-star Michelle Rodriguez as her ideal potential "Fast & Furious" companion.
“Who’s the guy from these amazing ‘Jason Bourne’ movies? Matt Damon! I fucking want Matt Damon. Matt Damon, would you be in a ‘Fast and Furious’ movie? C’mon, we got four Oscar winners, man. And you’re an Oscar winner!” Rodriguez said.
The first section of the franchise's two-part conclusion is titled "Fast X." Diesel, Rodriguez, Sung Kang, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, John Cena, and Nathalie Emmanuel are "Fast and Furious" stalwarts who reprise their roles, along with Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, and Cardi B. Rita Moreno, Brie Larson, and Jason Momoa are all debuting in a franchise.
According to the "Fast X" official description, Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his team are forced to look for assistance in their battle against Cipher (Theron) after she hires Dante (Momoa), a strange new foe. The new movie's logline implies that it's the "end of the road."
Justin Lin, the director of the "Fast and Furious" franchise, left the project, and Louis Leterrier, the filmmaker of "Lupin" and "Now You See Me," took over as "Fast X" director.
Diesel sharing on Instagram: "We’re almost there…We can’t wait to share a taste of what’s coming…" While the "Fast and Furious" actor Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow Walker, said, "I love you. My family forever and always.”
