Let's introduce a little about this man. Yanni Davros is a 35-year-old artist who was born in Sacramento, California. Now, he lives there with his girlfriend Niki, and his dog Sai. The author has a lot of hobbies such as gardening, vinyl record collecting, cycling, and snowboarding, and, of course, has a strong passion for comics and illustrations. As Yanni shared, he started drawing at the age of 3 and never put it down as he got older. "I started by drawing airplanes and then got interested in painting and comics as a teenager. I was lucky enough to have supportive parents and I went to art school at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I learned about art history and majored in sequential art," says he. It's difficult for many comic artists to make a living through art, but Yanni Davros can make his living doing art for tech corporations and advertising agencies. It's actually a piece of luck for him.
Yanni gets ideas for his comics from the real-world events, people, and situations he sees around him and in his social connections. On the other hand, his artistic approach was influenced by newspaper comic strips like Peanuts, and Calvin and Hobbes. Besides, you can also see a little kawaii art from Japan because the artist loves it. One of the features that make his art recognized is that all of his characters were named after colors like Olive, Teal, Fuchsia, and Violet - the four main characters of his comic series. On Instagram, his account "Prolific Pen Comics" has gained 108,000 followers and this figure shows no sign of stopping.
