Even if the internet has made it possible for people to share pictures of themselves and (supposedly) the world around them, it has also, unhappily, given them the chance to try to change reality using Photoshop. Or, even worse, low-cost applications designed to change how someone appears on dating apps or Instagram.
Facetune, you've got our attention. Aside from the obvious photo editing and catfishing, the practice exposes how many individuals have genuinely messed up anxieties and plays people for fools. Or a terribly frugal method of reducing the expense of talent, as is the case with retail websites and photographers.
While we sympathize with those who struggle with poor body image, we also find these potentially bad attempts at stylish photo manipulation hilarious. They are cringey. They are bad. And we can't help but agree that they are hysterically funny.
