It is obvious that everyone has to say goodbye soon or later but it’s never something easy. All of us are aware that the pain of losing a beloved one never really goes away.
When it comes to celebrity deaths, we do feel heartbroken even though we do not always follow them – react to their news or celebrate their achievements. The feeling may be stronger when those celebrity deaths happen all of a sudden. After all, things we can do is pay tribute to those celebrities by rewatching their movies, talk shows, and precious moments.
Today, let’s commemorate 4 legends in the cinema industry: Robin Williams, Chadwick Boseman, Heath Ledger, and Paul Walker.
Robin Williams’ career and tragic death
Actor Robin Williams is regarded as one of the greatest comedians of all time. He is known for his improvisational skills and the ability to portray various types of characters. Throughout his entire career, he received numerous accolades such as Academy Award, Primetime Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Award, and five Grammy Award.
The news that Robin Williams had committed suicide on August 11, 2014, came as a huge shock to us. It was eventually discovered that he had Parkinson's disease-related extreme depression, restlessness, and anxiety. This is why normalizing mental health is so important.
Chadwick Boseman’s career and tragic death
Chadwick Boseman made movie history portraying the first Black superhero to get a stand-alone movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During his two-decade career, he received multiple accolades.
The world was absolutely shocked when news broke that Chadwick Boseman passed away at age 43 while battling colon cancer. The actor was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in 2016 and battle it for the last 4 years but he brought viewers many of the films you have come to love so much.
Heath Ledger’s career and tragic death
Heath Ledger received global attention and numerous posthumous awards thanks to his role as Joker in The Dark Knight. Before that, he starred in some movies such as 10 Things I Hate About You, The Patriot, A Knight's Tale, Monster's Ball, and so on.
Heath Ledger's housekeeper, Diana Wolozin, discovered him unconscious in his bed on January 22, 2008. Wolozin made a call to actor Mary-Kate Olsen, a friend of actor Heath Ledger, who then made a call to a private security company while Wolozin made a call to 911. Two weeks after his death, his autopsy read: “Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication” by the combined effects of 6 different medications, one of which was oxycodone.
A few months before his death, Ledger has done his work as a Joker.
Paul Walker’s career and tragic death
Paul Walker started his career as a child actor in the 1980s and gained wide recognition after starring in the television soap opera The Young and the Restless. After years of working hard, he became a movie star. Throughout his career, he acted in some successful movies such as She's All That, Varsity Blues, The Fast and the Furious and Takers.
Nobody may forget Paul Walker's tragic passing. On November 10, 2013, Paul and his friend Roger Rodas were leaving Paul's charity, Reach Out Worldwide for Typhoon Haiyan victims. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that Paul was riding along in the backseat with Roger as their car crashed. Both individuals died in the accident.
