The young chefs are all set to whip up seasonal delights inspired by holidays like Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the Lunar New Year, and more on "MasterChef Junior: Home for the Holidays."
Judges Gordon Ramsay, Tilly Ramsay, Oz, and Aarón Sánchez will decide the ultimate winner. The lucky chef will walk away with a fantastic holiday gift package, including $25,000, a Viking Kitchen package, and a coveted "MasterChef" snow globe trophy.
Gordon Ramsay is excited about the talented kids on the upcoming show, saying, “We’ve got the most fantastic kids. They’re up against some incredible mystery box challenges, and we arrive on a sled. Lots of snowball fights! But the most exciting thing is that they’re cooking out of these incredible mystery boxes, but elevating their dishes more than we ever expected. Tilly is no longer coming in as a little guest; she’s judging also this year! It’s been a pleasant nightmare.”
Tilly responds to her father’s tease, stating, “It’s definitely sort of a scary setup coming in as a judge. I’ve loved it so far. It’s been amazing to be there and watch them. They were quite shy and scared at the beginning, and already they’re just showing these amazing personalities through their food. It’s been a lot of fun.”
The father and daughter also share a few of their own favorite holiday traditions. “We have one really special Christmas Day brunch, which we do every year. I have to say, dad makes the most amazing scrambled eggs. The best spread on the table. I do the toast, mom does the coffee. My sisters lay the table. Jack…I don’t really know what he does. He eats. Then we have our Christmas Day lunch in the evening. The whole day is revolving around these amazing dishes. It’s seriously good family time, seriously good food, and just a lot of fun!” Gordon adds, “It’s all focused around food and breaking bread.”
