In the "Dark Skies" episode of Magnum P.I., Magnum discovered Lewis Teal lied about the whereabouts of Magnum's former Commanding Officer and was paid to lie to anyone investigating the case. Magnum broke into Teal's apartment, forcing him to help them find Greene's killers, who were targeting Magnum and his friends. The killers shot Teal, but Magnum was able to capture the shooter, Oliver Cane, who was supposed to be in prison.
