Kristen Stewart's Amazing Journey of Transformation, From A Cute Child Star To A Bisexual Icon
It’s not an exaggeration to say that Kristen Stewart is one of the most accomplished and unique actresses of her generation. Despite her success in Movies, such as The Twilight Saga, Huntsman, and Charlie's Angels, her acting skill is controversial. With a resume unlike pretty much anybody else in her age bracket, the actress is paid attention to by her major public romance whom everyone knows or she once stood up to Former President Donal Trump.
While other celebs desire to have fame, Stewart has foregone all social media, refusing to show her private life to the world. Over the years, our beloved star has been more mature and now become a self-possessed woman.
Taking inspiration from her famous folks
The actress detailed in the book, The A The Art of Discovery, how being part of a family of "hardworking crew members" inspired her to get involved in the industry. Her mother, Jules Mann-Stewart, is a script supervisor and her father, John Stewart, is a stage manager and producer.
Her parents taught her about the importance of hard work, dedication and professionalism. She got more experience from watching her parents work with actors and directions on set.
Kristen has also followed in her mother's footsteps in terms of her love for the arts, and has mentioned how her mother's artistry has influenced her own love for painting and drawing.
Kristen Stewart was a mini Jodie Foster
It took a year of auditioning for her to get a role in 2001's The Safety of Objects. However, she realized that it wasn’t a cool job and her life opened beyond her wildest dreams. One year later, she had a chance to act alongside Jodie Foster in Panic Room, where she got more fame.
In 2015, she told Interview magazine that starring in Panic Room was a formative experience for her. She was pleasured when working with Foster, “I was really lucky to work with her at such a young age because I've had some serious self-persecuting ... People sometimes actually get me to think I take things too seriously and maybe I'm too earnest and it's coming across like I'm better than them. But ... we are quite kindred.”
Cooling her jets
The 2003 thriller Cold Creek Manor, directed by Mike Figgis, marked the beginning of Kristen Stewart's transformation from a kid actor to an adult one. Any actress would have felt anxious playing the daughter of Hollywood luminaries Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone, especially in front of Juliette Lewis and Christopher Plummer, but the young Stewart handled the role with ease.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress showcased some of her now-iconic fidgety mannerisms, as an enthusiastic and eager-to-please person. When asked what kind of movie she likes, Stewart said, “I don't really go see the stuff where you take your two-year-old brother.”
Kristen Stewart became best known as Bella
The Twilight Sage catapulted her to mega-stardom. She told Collider that she was grateful for portraying Bella Swan, “This movie is either going to make it easier for me to keep doing the things that I've been doing for almost ten years.”
However, 11 years later, in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she expressed her frustration and disappointment over how she and her demeanor had been treated and described by the press at the height of her Twilight fame.
Shocking them into submission
The star wanted to play different types of characters so she decided to star in Welcome to the Rileys, in which she co-starred with Jame Gandolfini. Her role came as a shock to fans. However, playing a darker character is challenging but provides her with a chance to develop her acting skills.
Stewart proudly shared, “I danced on the bar there three nights this week, and my legs are covered in bruises.”
Kristen Stewart topped the rich list
Just 4 years after the Twilight Sage aired, Kristen Stewart was named the highest-paid actress in the world by Forbes. The then-22-year-old has banked around $12.5 million for each of the final two movies in the series, alongside a share of the profits for both.
Despite her achievements, the actress has never felt comfortable with fame or attraction. She clarified, “I love making movies, but I don't do my job to be a famous person.”
Becoming a burgeoning bisexual icon
In 2017, Kristen Stewart showed her true identity to the world. During her Saturday Night Live hosting monologue that year, the actress reminisced about the time President Donald Trump obsessed over her relationship with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson on Twitter. Midway through the bit, she deadpanned, “I'm like, so gay, dude.”
She clarified her sexuality, saying, “You're not confused if you're bisexual. It's not confusing at all. For me, it's quite the opposite.”
