Kate Winslet's Kids Have Surprising Reactions After They Watch ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’
Even though becoming a movie star is no easy achievement, it is still a lot simpler than convincing your children that you are awesome. Kate Winslet appears to be aware of this as she frequently discusses how her three children show very little interest in seeing her latest Movies,
However, the star will take any victories she can get. Winslet expressed her delight at how much her two children appreciate one of her earlier movies, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," in a recent conversation.
“Mia and Joe love ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.’ Love it, and love the soundtrack, so regularly I’ll hear from someone’s bedroom, Beck blasting. I’ll be like ‘That’s ‘Eternal Sunshine.’ So that’s kind of amazing.”
Winslet continued by saying that she has a newfound respect for the genre-defying romantic movie as a result of her children's excitement for it, as they constantly bring to memory parts that she had forgotten.
“And that generation, there are specific lines of dialogue that they latch onto, My kids and their friends will quote back to me. They’ll be like, ‘Do you know who said that?’ And I’ll say, ‘No. Who said that?’ And they’ll be, ‘You did, Mom, as Clementine in ‘Eternal Sunshine!” I’m like, ‘Oh my God, that amazing line.’ So they are kind of clinging onto these things that’s really fun and certainly unexpected.”
Even though Winslet claimed that her kids are not especially interested in viewing many of her earlier movies, we can only hope that they will be able to appreciate the extraordinary physical work she did in "Avatar: The Way of Water." Recently, the actress admitted that she had to practice holding her breath for seven minutes at a time for the movie and that after one especially prolonged try, she actually believed she had passed away.
“I have the video of me surfacing saying, ‘Am I dead, have I died?’ And then going, ‘What was my time?’ Straight away I wanted to know my time. And I couldn’t believe it…The next thing I say is, ‘We need to the radio set.’ I wanted Jim to know right away.”
