Jodie Foster Finds Gen Z “Really Annoying” – What's Your Take?
Gen Z's way of working varies, and Jodie Foster finds them “really annoying.” People might feel this way because Gen Z, with their tech skills and teamwork, does things a bit differently. But it's important not to judge everyone the same way.
Each generation brings something unique. Instead of focusing on the annoying parts, let's try to understand each other better. Gen Z's fresh ideas can mix well with other ways of doing things. By finding a balance and talking openly, we can make the workplace better for everyone.

Jodie Foster joked about finding Gen Z annoying in an interview with The Guardian. Gen Z includes people born after 1996 up to 2010, making them the generation after millennials.
“They’re really annoying, especially in the workplace,” Foster said. “They’re like, ‘Nah, I’m not feeling it today, I’m gonna come in at 10:30 a.m.’ Or, like, in emails, I’ll tell them this is all grammatically incorrect, did you not check your spelling? And they’re like, ‘Why would I do that, isn’t that kind of limiting?’”

Foster doesn't see herself as better than Gen Z. In fact, she's on a mission to help young actors. She started acting as a kid, so she knows what it's like. Recently, she reached out to Emmy nominee Bella Ramsey from "The Last of Us" and asked her to introduce her at a Hollywood event. Foster wants to support and connect with the new generation in the industry, showing that she's not just talking about it but actively helping young talents.

“They need to learn how to relax, how to not think about it so much, how to come up with something that’s theirs,” she continued when asked about her advice to young actors these days. “I can help them find that, which is so much more fun than being, with all the pressure behind it, the protagonist of the story.”

“It’s a phase. It’s a phase that’s lasted a little too long for me, but it’s a phase, and I’ve seen so many different phases,” Foster said. “Hopefully people will be sick of it soon. The good ones — like ‘Iron Man,’ ‘Black Panther,’ ‘The Matrix’ — I Marvel at those movies, and I’m swept up in the Entertainment of it, but that’s not why I became an actor. And those movies don’t change my life. Hopefully there’ll be room for everything else.”
Foster won a Golden Globe and was nominated a Critic’s Choice Award for her performance in “Nyad”
