Over the years, Evan Peters has been romantically linked with some high-profile personalities. His on-and-off relationship with actress Emma Roberts attracted significant media attention.

Emma Roberts and Peters met on the set of Adult World but didn't start dating until after the show was finished. Roberts stated that she suspected the pair would date, but her attempts to flirt with Peters were unsuccessful. "He literally didn't speak to me the entire movie," stated Roberts on Chelsea Lately. "He thought I was so weird."

Evan told Vulture that he developed a crush on Emma but didn't know how to approach her. 

“I tried to talk to her a few times and, I don’t know, I kept saying the wrong thing,” Peters said. Evan decided to shut up after several awkward interactions with Roberts.

Evan did not file charges, and Roberts was freed a few hours later. "It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding," a spokesman for the couple told Us Weekly. "Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.”

Evan proposed to Emma many months later. The pair broke up in June 2015, according to a source, since they couldn't make it work, and the separation was amicable. The pair reconciled in September 2015, only to split up a few months later. 

Roberts and Peters reconciled for the last time a year later. The pair split up in March 2019, as Roberts moved on with actor Garrett Hedlund. "Evan has moved out. It wasn’t a bad breakup. Garrett and Emma have been friends, but this is new, casual, and just a couple of weeks old."

Following his breakup with Emma Roberts, Evan briefly dated singer Halsey. Halsey was open about her feelings for Evan Peters. She tweeted in 2013: "Petition for Evan Peters to date me. I just want cookies and Evan Peters."

The couple began dating in September 2019. They made numerous public appearances together, and Evan accompanied Halsey on tour, but their romance did not last, and they split up in March 2022. 

Evan Peters appears to be single as of this writing. In 2015, he told Cosmopolitan that a woman who wants to date him must be patient with him.

“[She] will give me another chance to say the right thing and get past my nerves and insecurity. There are a lot of girls out there who don’t really want to do that.” Evan said, “But there are a lot of girls out there who do, and those are the ones — the only ones — I can really go for. I need a couple more chances than just the first one,” he continued.
