Injured Dog Finds Refuge Under Car Until a Samaritan Spots Him and Provides a Forever Home
After seeing the incident, neighbors immediately called Logan's Legacy Dog Rescue for assistance. The founder of Logan's Legacy, Suzette Hall, made her way as quickly as she could to the Southern California neighborhood. Sadly, at that time, the puppy was in very bad condition.
“He had a pretty bad wound,” Hall told The Dodo, an animal channel. “He had to have emergency surgery.”
An especially close relationship formed between Niq and one friend, a veterinary technician. The vet tech would not leave her shift without visiting her new best friend before going home.
“She would go and sit with him every day after work,” Hall said. “She fell in love with him.”
The vet tech had a proposal for Hall after a few regular visits. To help Niq recover in a more cozy setting, she offered to take him home with her for a weekend. When Hall received an unexpected message the following Monday, she nodded and was gleefully surprised.
“She’d offered to take him home for the weekend, but she couldn’t bring him back,” Hall said. “She said, ‘I have to have him. Can I please adopt him?’”
For Hall, there’s no sweeter outcome for a rescue dog than what Niq received. “He’s so happy, and he’s so loved,” Hall said. “He now has the perfect forever home.” Please like and share the story with your family and friends.
