He never would have imagined that Fluffy would save his life just a few months later. According to WBKW Buffalo, poor Ron fell as he was getting out of the shower and was immobile for 16 hours. Normally, due to his age, Williams couldn’t walk without his walker. As if things weren’t bad enough, the fall left him in a bad position from which he couldn’t move. Ron was unable to stand up for himself because his arm was stuck behind him. Just picture the pain!

Williams initially did not give the cat being in the room with him much thought. And Ron did not come up with a crazy idea until Fluffy tried to get close to him by licking his face. He hoped that Fluffy would understand him when he said, "Ring-a-ding." It can be said that Mr. Williams didn’t expect much, but it was his last hope, and it was indeed worth trying. Luckily, "Ring-a-ding" ended up being a fortunate phrase.

Williams talks to Fluffy all the time, just like many other cat owners do. The two developed their own distinctive communication style, and the 84-year-old man adored saying "ring-a-ding Fluffy" whenever the phone rang. Fluffy remembered the sentence so vividly that she started to link the phone with it. What a clever little fellow!

Fluffy, for some reason, realized what had happened and went to get Ron's phone.
We can not imagine how relieved Ron must have felt when Fluffy handed him the phone. He was saved. “What if he wouldn’t have been in there with me?” added Ron. Fluffy's proud father declared that Fluffy was and always would be his hero.

Ron was lucky enough to have Fluffy by himself, and there were just a few bumps and bruises compared to what could have happened. However, if someone close to you is elderly and living alone, please call them every day to check if they’re alright because not everyone is lucky enough to have a guardian angel next to them all the time.
