Guy Kicks Girlfriend And Her Brother Out Of Apartment When They Ask Him To Get Rid Of His Dog

Canines have been titled as humans' best companions for a long time. Thus, it's no surprise when someone considers their dog as one of their family members. After all, how many people in your life could give you unconditional love like a pup? The Reddit account named u/doggoluvr1203 is no exception, so he decided to put his furry friend over his girlfriend and her brother.

The 23-year-old Redditor lived with his dog, Bo, and his girlfriend, Ann, before Ann's older brother moved in. The girl's brother, Al, lost his job, so he struggled to pay the rent by himself. The issue was that he had a dog allergy, but he accepted to live in harmony with Bo. The Reddit user made it clear that he would try his best to make the newcomer feel comfortable, but he refused to get rid of the dog in any situation.

The poster admitted that he was uncomfortable with Al, who often cooped up in the apartment without doing chores or cooking. He didn't try to seek a job, and his fast food and leftovers piled up into a mess.

The problem got worse when a month later, Al said he couldn't put up with the dog anymore, and he wanted the poster to rehome Bo. The girlfriend also persuaded the Redditor to leave his dog, but he said no.

When the user's girlfriend blamed him for putting his dog over his family, he threw a fit. He claimed that he would not sacrifice his dog for a "hassle" as Al, and he didn't have the responsibility to shelter or babysit him. Eventually, he forced Al to move out immediately, or both his girlfriend and her brother had to leave, and they chose the latter option.

In more detail, he explained that he saw Bo as his family. Bo was a rescue dog, and he would never abandon this poor canine as the previous owner. He shared that Ann's plan to remove Bo from the apartment ruined his love for her. However, his family disagreed with his act and said he should sacrifice if he loved Ann. That's why he felt confused and turned to Reddit to know if he was unreasonable.

In the update, the poster said that his relationship with Ann finally came to an end, and his parents apologized to him for their accusation. They misunderstood that Ann and Al only suggested the poster rehome Bo for a few weeks. After this experience, the Redditor felt sorry for dogs that had been put in shelters for ridiculous reasons and decided to adopt another rescue dog.

The guy's action was applauded by the Reddit community. They believed his girlfriend wasn't the right person for him, so it was good to break up with her. Additionally, the poster did nothing wrong because he had told the sibling that he wouldn't get rid of his dog no matter what happened.
