Meatball the moggie lives in Hong Kong with his companion, Mochi, their two kids: Nugget and Pepper, and two full-time hooman assistants, wife Daphnie and husband Koon Wah.

Daphnie and Koon Wah began feeding the cats together as the kittens were bigger and moved on to solid food. The hooman couple thought it was a warm, joyful meal, except for Meatball's gobbling up more than his serve, which expensed his waistline.

Worsening the situation, daughter Pepper picked up Meatball's bad habit and followed her dad on the road to chunkiness. When someone got more, some others got less. The fair share in the bowl was meaningless.

The hooman couple felt the need to intervene and had an idea of opening eating partitions. Koon Wah crafted them from cardboard at first and then upgraded them with some leftover wood. Daphnie added some fabric from some sake wine bought in Japan and sewed these to the front of each partition.

The partitions looked like a small restaurant for the feline family. With that, now all four cats had their own private dining space where they could eat their portions in peace, fair, and square. The hooman wife and husband were contented order in the house was restored.
