Employee Quit In Frustration After Discovering He Was Lied About The Work-From-Home Option

Apparently, many companies are engaging in the troubling practice of misleading their employees through deceptive job postings. This behavior can be considered a scam, as they exaggerate the benefits, options, and rewards while downplaying the true workload to entice potential workers into joining their company. However, the harsh reality unfolds once these employees become part of the company, discovering that everything they were promised was merely a lie.

A similar experience was encountered by Reddit user u/meghanerd, who applied for a job primarily because the company offered a work-from-home option. The job description explicitly indicated that employees would have the flexibility to work from home regularly, only needing to be physically present at the workplace when necessary. Yet, upon starting the job, this employee quickly realized the employer's deceit, as they were only allowed to work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Scroll down for more details!
