Why Page talks about it so much

While it's commonly believed that Elliot has inspired many transgender individuals to embrace themselves, the actor sees it the other way around. The overwhelming support he received after coming out has motivated him to become an activist, advocating for the rights of transgender individuals. Now, Page is actively engaged in the fight for these people's rights.

Based on his reputation, he wants to raise public awareness of important issues:  “My privilege has allowed me to have resources to get through and to be where I am today and, of course, I want to use that privilege and platform to help in the ways I can.”

Elliot Page published a book where he candidly shares his entire journey—from being known as Ellen to embracing his true self. Unlike many celebrities who have others write their memoirs, every word in this book comes directly from the actor.
He describes his life as a significant struggle for personal happiness: “Before coming out as queer in 2014, I’d made the decision that living my life was more important than being in movies.”
