Dwayne Johnson's Movies Are All Subtly Connected, Says Producer Hiram Garcia

Producer of The Rock for many years reveals everything. We could have our own version of the "Maybe in about 10 more years, we’re gonna have our version of an ‘Infinity War,’ a Dwayne Johnson War." a Dwayne Johnson War, in about 10 more years.

I've often wondered whether there is a hidden Dwayne Johnson universe connecting The Rock's films over time and space, much as there is a Marvel Cinematic Universe, a DC Extended Universe (now known as Worlds of DC), and a hanging-on-for-life Dark Universe.

After all, Johnson's characters all appear to have a lot of the actor's unique attitude and ideals, whether he's fighting earthquakes, enormous mutant beasts, or skyscrapers. So, are they all related somehow?

Thanos has nothing on The Rock, according to Hiram Garcia, president of the production at Seven Bucks, Dwayne Johnson's production firm. Garcia affirmed that there is "always a thread" running through all of The Rock's motion pictures.

It turns out that the DTRJCU really exists, so these aren't the only questions that keep me awake at night. The Huffington Post received confirmation from Hiram Garcia, president of the production at Johnson's Seven Bucks, that each of the actor's films is interconnected:

In our business, the ultimate goal is everyone wants to create a universe, so if we can somehow, if there’s a master plan happening right now that you just don’t know. But maybe in about 10 more years, we’re gonna have our version of an ‘Infinity War,’ a Dwayne Johnson War. Just say you heard it here first, and that we’re damn brilliant for doing it.

Dwayne Johnson vs. Dwayne Johnson would undoubtedly be the plot of the Dwayne Johnson adaptation of Infinity War. Garcia also draws attention to the films' clear common threads outside of the eventual DTRJCU.

There very much is always a thread ... It’s always about a guy who’s somehow getting better, even just a little bit. If you look at the most extreme version, ‘Pain and Gain,’ even as that character, he got a little bit better somehow at the end. ... That’s something we do try to look for in our movies. There’s always a little bit of healing. There’s always a little bit of getting better, coupled with some kind of a family tie, something of the heart.
That would be obvious from the start, as Mathayus' whole tale, which takes place 5,000 years ago, begins with him seeking retribution for his brother's death and ends with him rising to the position of the Scorpion King. Naturally, Rick is only restoring Mathayus' soul to his body (which he gave to Anubis) when he uses the spear of Osiris to cast him back into the Underworld in The Mummy Returns. Mathayus is then left as an immortal creature to guard the earth for all eternity. It is only logical that eventually, that role would involve skydiving, working as Zac Efron's lifeguard, and bringing an NFL team to Las Vegas.

The DTRJCU has a lengthy arc, but it bends toward conquering Entertainment, sports, and the media. Salutations to the future leader Scorpion King.
