Desperate Dog Stops Every Car On The Road, Pleading For A Helping Hand
Approaching each vehicle, the dog sought help, but regrettably, every car drove away, ignoring her pleas.
Without hesitation, that one kind-hearted passenger decided to stop and extend a helping hand. The rescuer quickly picked the poor puppy up and drove her to safety. Later, the puppy was named Olivia and she was taken to Miami-Dade Animal Services for better help. This was the place where Rosa Fond, the founder of Humans and animals United (HAU) first heard about her.
One of HAU's rescue representatives visited Miami-Dade Animal Services to officially meet Olivia and sent a photo of the forlorn pup to Fond. “When I saw her video, I just cried and immediately spoke with our team to arrange to help Olivia,” Fond said.
Upon seeing Olivia’s video, Fond was deeply moved and she really wanted to help her.
Rosa Fond recounted, “We don't know how long she was out there waiting for rescue. A defenseless dog who can’t speak our language asking for help the only way she knew how: just by going up to cars.”
The team sent a photo of the sweet but broken girl to Fond. And here was what she said: “She was sad with her little tongue sticking out, probably waiting for the family that would never come to look for her,” Fond shared. “It shattered me to see her that way.”
HAU swiftly welcomed Olivia and placed her with a loving foster family.
Fond noted, “She certainly has a special, princess-like personality.”
In her warm and caring home, Olivia began to show her true personality. When not lounging on the couch or playing with her foster siblings, Olivia has a unique talent for communicating with her humans.
“Olivia is a talker!” Fond said. “This girl will talk you into giving her anything she wants. She will look at you and melt your heart while talking to you to help you understand what she needs.”
Despite just a few weeks since her rescue, each day in her new home feels like a lifetime.

While Olivia is still searching for her perfect forever family, Fond is optimistic about finding them soon. Olivia is now safe and secure, surrounded by a dedicated rescue family, with no more need to experience the feeling of being unwanted or having to beg for help.
Fond said “Olivia will never know what it's like to be unwanted or beg for anyone to help her again. She is a special girl who had angels watching over her. She now has an entire rescue family watching over her, too.”
