Fugui is the lovely canine friend of the beautiful bride, Fu Xi. His name means 'wealthy' and everyone adores this little puppy. Fugui and the bride, Fu Xi, had spent two years together before Ms. Fu tied the knot with her fiancé at the nuptial ceremony.

Then, the wedding that everyone had been waiting for finally arrived. And on that wonderful day, a touching footage about Fugui’s little behavior was recorded, and it actually melted the hearts of thousands of people.

Weddings in many Asian countries are full of traditions and rituals. One commonly observed tradition is that the groom travels to the bride's house to escort her back to his home. Close relatives and friends typically accompany the bride, bidding her farewell as she starts her new journey.

However, at the wedding of Fu Xi, as the dearest friends and family boarded the car for the journey to the groom's house, there was someone they seemed to have forgotten—a little dog who adored the bride greatly.

Following was what the little dog did to say goodbye to his owner.

In the video, Fugui first waited at the entrance of his village in southern China for the wedding convoy. After seeing the convoy appear, Fugui eagerly tried to keep pace with them, initially staying alongside the bride's car.

However, as the car kept riding faster, Fugui's energy began to wane, and he eventually had to stop, watching the convoy drive away. The dog ran for more than 20 minutes, covering over 6.2 miles, before becoming exhausted.

Though he could not run all the way to send off his girl, Fugui's dedication deeply moved those who witnessed the story.

The video of Fugui's loyal act quickly garnered thousands of comments when posted on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok. Many praised the bond between humans and their canine companions, while others expressed concern about the bride's decision not to let Fugui into the car.

Later, Fu Xi explained that she had wanted Fugui to join her in the car during the event; fortunately, for unknown reasons, the dog remained outside and continued his pursuit.

After her wedding, Fu Xi visited her parents' home and reunited with Fugui. And Fugui seemed to be happier than ever. She shared that Fugui recovered from the incident on the same day and is now as playful as usual.
