Last summer, on July 20, there was one of the most shocking incidents involving a husky dog. A 3-month-old husky puppy had been left confined within an SUV parked at the Bellagio casino. The pup's mouth was brutally bound with electrical tape, while temperatures soared to a sweltering 113 degrees. Leaving any dog locked in a car under such circumstances is deeply troubling, and this situation was not an exception.

After receiving a call reporting the urgent situation, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department rushed to the scene.

According to the report, the dog endured a miserable two hours inside the vehicle while the owner was engrossed in gambling, offering no respite with air conditioning, sustenance, or water. The LVMPD then managed to extricate the dog through the car's sunroof, as revealed in bodycam footage shared by the department. Heartbreakingly, the dog was found in a distressed state, drooling excessively, and struggling to breathe.

Not long after that, the owner was identified as Raul Carbajal, 50-year-old. He was then subsequently arrested for the willful and malicious torture of an animal.

Although the initial circumstances were horrific, the life of the husky changed for the better over time. A few weeks following her rescue, The Animal Foundation, a Las Vegas-based rescue organization, joyfully announced that the husky, now known as Duchess, had found her forever home.

Duchess was mistreated and neglected by her previous owner, but things have changed for the better since she joined her new family. Duchess has chances to explore various parts of Nevada, California, and Arizona, savoring her newfound freedom. Interestingly, after her rescue from the scorching car, Duchess has developed a fondness for the cold and is said to never miss an opportunity to enjoy the snow.
