Dog Found Tied To Pole With Deep Wounds In Her Neck Finally Got Her A Second Chance In Life

Dogs have been our buddies for ages. We all know how awesome they are as friends. But man, it's a real sadness that some people out there still treat dogs like playthings or, worse, hurt them. Take this poor pup we're talking about today, for example. He was tied up with this nasty metal wire for who knows how long before a rescuer found him. That metal rope left a gnarly wound on his neck, and you can bet it was from that wire. Can you imagine how messed up things could've gotten if he hadn't been found in time?

Last week, in a Facebook post from the Oklahoma Humane Society, a lovely canine named Camilla was found tied up to a pole. It was a blessing that a good Samaritan found her and immediately contacted the sheriff.

The metal wire that had been used to tie Camilla up had become embedded in her skin, leaving her with a deep, noticeable wound around her neck. It was evident that she had been tied up for so long.

When the Oklahoma Humane Society saw how bad the wound was, they immediately took Camilla in and took care of her using donations from their angel fund. And not long after being rescued from such neglect, Camilla found someone to care for her.

“She came straight to me and I agreed to foster her,” Mark Henderson, Camila’s adoptive dad, told KFOR.

Henderson shared that he didn’t expect Honey to be so welcoming. “ She is just has that genuine joy about her, she’ll paw at you.” As soon as he saw the cute dog, Hederson knew right away he could bring her home that day. The dog is now known as "Honey," according to KFOR.

Henderson also claimed that despite the suffering and abuse the dog had endured, she was kind and merely desired to be loved.

“She really has ever reason to almost hate humans because she was treated very very poorly,” Henderson said. “She was ready to engage, she was excited.”

Honey's scar from being tied up weeks ago is still palpable, according to Henderson, but despite everything, she is flourishing in her loving new home.

“She is the sweetest girl with an amazing personality and now enjoys lounging on a comfortable bed in her new home,” the Oklahoma Humane Society wrote.
