Does Agent Ross die in National Treasure? Major story points are revealed as the first season of the Disney+ series "National Treasure: Edge of History" nears its conclusion. Billie (Catherine Zeta-Jones) kidnaps Rafael (Jacob Vargas) and Jess (Lisette Olivera) in Episode 9, titled "A Meeting with Salazar," and compels them to lead her to the Devil's Swamp in Mississippi, where the Pan-American treasure is said to be hidden. But in the meantime, Jess's pals have noticed something is awry and have reached out to the FBI for help. Oren (Antonio Cipriano) and Liam (Jake Austin Walker), in Baton Rouge, visit the FBI to talk to Agent Ross after becoming concerned for Jess's safety. After that, the police in Peter Sadusky's neighborhood get there but don't discover Myles' body. Oren insists on taking a polygraph exam to prove they are speaking the truth. She finally gets the word over after some initial discomfort. But the others have not yet located their missing companion. Tasha, the resident hacker and tech whiz, proposes a workaround. They check into a seedy motel, where Tasha uses the TV's antenna to learn that Billie is on her way to Mississippi. Zeke and Ross go to Peter Sadusky's house in Baton Rouge to find out whether he truly killed Myles.
Dario and another operator arrive to grab Myles' phone, but they discover no proof since Billie's team has cleaned the location completely. During the shootout, Dario's companion is shot and killed. As a follow-up, Tasha has Ross watch a video of Billie, Jess, Rafael, and Billie's armed guards arriving at Vicksburg County Airport. Hendricks (Armando Riesco), Ross' employer, watches the footage and then mobilizes immediately. He and Ross head to Vicksburg.

In "National Treasure: Edge of History," Agent Ross is presumed dead. Her eyes go lifeless as Hendricks/Salazar stabs her in the back. Much like Sadusky does in the movies, Ross has played a significant role in the program, essentially driving the FBI plotline. Given that she met her end at Hendricks' hands, Billie may be considered an antihero.
Having previously labeled Sebastian, Billie's brother, "a liability," Salazar shoots him in a flashback at the episode's conclusion. It's interesting that the camera looks over Billie's shoulder when Ross dies. The looks on Billie's face throughout these times indicate that she is contemplating something. In the season finale, she has a real opportunity to aid Jess and her pals.
