In an interview, Disse said he loves to discover how far he can push himself. “I consider my works so surreal, I don’t think they can be taken seriously,” explained the artist. “I don’t mean to be offensive to anyone, I only investigate the absurd.” In his comics, we will approach the topics like sexuality, religion, death, or morality. However, his work isn't the place for him to express his personal opinion but where he explores the absurd.
There's an interesting thing about Disse's creative process that shows he is really a weird but talented artist. The man revealed: "I take inspiration for my comics in the oddest of times and places: when I'm in the bathroom, when I drive, when I'm taking a shower, just before I fall asleep or right after I wake up, also while I'm petting my cat."
