#2. He prefers to live far away from Hollywood.

Being successful in the acting world, Cillian Murphy's life always focuses on his family in Ireland rather than the glamour of Hollywood or London. In an interview, Murphy revealed that he didn't feel the need to live in Los Angeles, saying: “I’d be tremendously far away from my family — I’d never see them.”

Moving to Ireland was the "best decision" the actor has ever made, according to him. Their two teenage sons were able to embrace their Irish heritage when Dublin became their new home. “We had 14 years in London. But as you hit your late 30s and have kids, living in a major metropolis is less exciting,” he declared. “And then also, you know, we’re both Irish. We wanted the kids to be Irish. I think it’s our best decision”.

#3. Murphy hates being famous.

Despite his notable accomplishments in the film industry, Cillian Murphy never had access to the luxuries of Hollywood: “For me, it’s just about the work. If you behave like a celebrity, you’ll be treated like one. I admire people like Matt Damon — he just continues to do brilliant work, and that’s it. That’s the model I’d like to follow”.

Actor Cillian Murphy has openly admitted that he is sometimes embarrassed by the attention that comes with his profession. "I'm very lucky. It sometimes makes me feel embarrassed. I'm just an actor."

“There are doctors and nurses and people that work. I struggle with that. I mean, actors are overpaid, you know? It’s nice when you get paid, when you’re young, and you’ve gone from having no money, but the Catholic guilt kicks in immediately, and I’m like, ‘It’s all going to go wrong. You don’t deserve this’. And I don’t.”

#4. Besides acting, Cillian is kind of intellectual.

Murphy enrolled at University College Cork in 1996 with the goal of majoring in law. Unluckily, he couldn't pass his first-year exam due to challenges. Later, he was unhappy with the law degree and pursued an acting career after stumbling upon a peculiar show at a nightclub.

He speaks multiple languages. English, French, Gaelic, and Irish are at least four of the languages that Cillian is fluent in. It's important to note that Gaelic and Irish are separate languages and that each has influenced Cillian's remarkable linguistic abilities.

And because of his flawless American accent, many people mistakenly thought he was an American. Cillian Murphy's American accent during the casting process for Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" was so perfect that it completely fooled the entire casting staff.

Actors are unpredictable. Their private lives may hide information that might turn someone against them. It can reveal information that even makes a person appear to be an angel sent from heaven. Or speak openly about the most private aspects of their lives.
