Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc - New Trailer & Everything We Know

Adapting from the popular dark manga franchise by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the anime Chainsaw Man quickly gained recognition all over the world ever since its release. Produced by MAPPA, the studio responsible for Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen, the anime stays faithful to the manga and is widely praised for its stunning animation and top-tier character designs.
After one year of release, finally MAPPA riles up the anime community yet again with a brand-new trailer, teasing the Reze Arc, one of the best and most popular storylines in the manga. And instead of a TV series like the first season, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc will be released theatrically as a movie. Without further ado, let’s dive right in to see what MAPPA has in store for us.

The official teaser trailer for Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc was released yesterday on MAPPA’s official YouTube channel. The trailer quickly went viral in just hours, gaining over 2.4 million views after 22 hours. It firstly shows us a glimpse of the heroine/antagonist in this arc: Reze, and then a tattered Denji in his Chainsaw Man form.
The teaser then continues to show some of the key moments in the manga between Reze and Denji, this time colorized and animated, with a sad and ambient piece of music running in the background. The trailer is only 51 seconds long, but it’s enough to send the fandom into a berserk.

For now, MAPPA hasn’t revealed the official release date yet for Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc. However, fans expected the movie to come out in early 2024. In the Japanese version, Reze will be voiced by Reina Ueda, who also voices Kanao in Demon Slayer, and Akane from SSS Gridman.
Both the Japanese and English casts are expected to remain the same, with Reze’s English voice actress being the only exception. This means, we can expect to see Ryan Colt Levy, Fairouz Ai, Sarah Wiedenheft, and Reagan Murdock reprise their roles for the English dub version.

#3. What Do We Know About Chainsaw Man’s Reze Arc

The upcoming Chainsaw Man movie will cover the entire Reze Arc, aka The Bomb Girl Arc, one of the most popular and beloved phases in the manga. After defeating the Katana Demon, Denji encounters a cute and mysterious woman named Reze, who clearly has taken a strange interest in him, and the two hang out.
Unlike Makima, Reze is kind, caring, and genuinely likes Denji, making the latter fall for her instead. The arc takes up 13 chapters from the manga, from chapter 40 to chapter 52, which is enough to be transitioned into a 2-hour anime movie. The arc has a fun and uplifting mood at the start, but a rather sad and bittersweet ending, so make sure to bring some tissues to the theater.
