Sadly, Enkaz’s owner couldn’t make it and lost their life in the disaster, so Cakas brought the cat to his home in Mardin, which was hundreds of miles away from the feline's old home. Enkaz now has a cozy home with a great human companion and even an Instagram account.

Cakas also shared the situation that brought him and the sweet feline together. He worked in the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, and his team headed to Nurdagu to support the locals right after the earthquake occurred. They saved 5 people from the Akan apartment block, several birds, and another cat, who finally got together with her owner.
