Demi Moore, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz became friends while filming the 2000 action-comedy film "Charlie's Angels". The three stars appeared at Lucy Liu's Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony
To celebrate Lucy Liu as the Elementary actress who earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the fab four reunited in California.
While Moore, 56, donned a sheath with a black-and-white geometric pattern, Barrymore, 44, opted for a more muted floral dress; and Diaz, 46, went with jeans and a white blazer. Liu, 50, for her part, wore a stunning floral dress.
The occasion was momentous, not just because of the reunion, but also because Diaz is rarely spotted in public these days, ever since announcing her retirement last year, in the wake of her last film role in 2014's Annie remake.
We can feel how happy they actually were on their smiles.
Lucy’s angle came to celebrate her
Her adorable 3-year-old son, Rockwell, was on hand to congratulate his mom. He was so happy in his mom’s sweet hug. The actress kneeled down on her star and kissed her little boy’s forehead.
In a 2016 interview with Us Weekly, she shared her path to motherhood, “All of the things that they tell you that you’re going to feel emotionally just start sprouting, … Everything becomes a wonderful rainbow of delight.”
How they became close friends on Charlie’s Angels
During filming this 2000 action-comedy movie, the actresses spent several months together on set and developed a close bond.
According to interviews, the women bonded over their shared passion for fitness and martial arts training for the film. They also took time outside of filming to go out to dinners and socialize.
Drew Barrymore, who produced the film, has spoken about how important it was for her to create a positive and supportive work environment for the cast and crew. This likely contributed to the strong friendships that formed on set.
Since the film's release, the four women have remained close friends and have even reunited for the 2019 reboot of "Charlie's Angels", which Drew Barrymore also produced.
