Bold Tortoise Leads Texas Cop On The Slowest Foot Pursuit Ever
Expectedly, a tortoise can live up to 200 years. Wow, this species has one valuable thing that humans yearn for: time. Let's see the hilarious journey that leads him to confront the cops more than just one time!

Seashell is 15 years old and is a beloved member of Mayda Garcia and her family in Texas. For years, he has received uncountable affection and treats, but it can't change his mind about seeking adventurous emotions.Source: Bexar County Sheriff's Office
However, Seashell is too slow to go on an actual tour away from home. He was always spotted by neighbors and once notoriously by a police officer in August of 2021. Still, the 60-pound hard-shelled guy doesn't give up. He takes time to watch the fence carefully and finds an eligible way out.Source: Bexar County Sheriff's Office
In February of 2023, Seashell ran away from home again. Unfortunately, Deputy Joe Garza of the Bexar County Sheriff's Office was on patrol and saw him crawling on the street. Immediately, he knew who to call: his supervisor, also the same sergeant that had found the tortoise roaming in that area over a year prior.Source: Bexar County Sheriff's Office

Quickly, they recognized the tortoise, contacted the family who had been looking for their tortoise for a few days, and escorted him home in his vehicle. Thanks to that, Deputy Joe Garza was presented with an award by his sergeant and lieutenant for catching the tortoise involved in the slowest foot pursuit Bexar County has ever seen.Source: Bexar County Sheriff's Office

On this occasion, Garcia fixed her fence, but we doubt it can barely prevent Seashell from breaking out again. If you agree, please let us know by commenting below and hitting the like-share button! For more funny pet stories like Seashell's, please visit our home page right away!Share this article
