Blind and Dwarf Munchkin Found Forever Loving Home After Being Abandoned By Her Family

Few things are as heart-wrenching as being abandoned, especially by your own family. Such was the fate that befell a blind munchkin in the early stages of her life. It was a painful and self-pitying experience, but this little girl's patience eventually paid off when her hero arrived, bringing a miracle into her life.

Meet the incredible survivor, a sweet little dwarf munchkin cat known as Giselle, lovingly nicknamed "Potato" and "Stumpy Cat." From the very beginning, she was unlike any other cat, born as a dwarf and blind munchkin cat. However, her initial owners didn't have faith in her. They left her to fend for herself, not realizing that Giselle was a true fighter. Lacking the knowledge to care for her, they turned to a care center run by the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animals (MSPCA).

When the MSPCA specialists first laid eyes on Giselle, they shared that she was in a really bad condition. Her fur was completely matted and dirty, and her overall health was far from ideal.

β€œIn addition to her skeletal deformities, her organs are to big, her rib cage is way to small and her head is to big which adds weight to her spine.. Her heart is being protected by her tiny rib cage but her lungs are squished and makes it difficult for her to breath..’’ shared the vet.

Alyssa Krieger, the shelter's manager, saw something exceptional in Giselle. Not only did this little cat have the will to live a regular life, but she was also born with a captivating personality. This "little giant" surely will be ready to join in a new journey after good grooming and proper care.

Soon after, Alyssa took to social media in search of a loving home for Giselle. The response was overwhelming, with nearly 3,000 adoption requests pouring in. And the one who is suitable for this little soul is a big-hearted woman named Holly. She discovered Giselle on the MSPCA Boston adoption page and fell instantly in love with the tiny, three pound kitty (the size of a guinea pig). Holly had previously worked with special needs cats, so she was approved to bring Giselle home, despite the cat's extensive list of medical conditions.

Giselle is now blossoming in Holly's warm and affectionate home. Her name was lovingly changed to Potato, and she was warmly welcomed by her three feline brothers: Jack, Lady, and Little Sister. They've all welcomed her with great fondness. Potato has even found that she enjoys playtime with her favorite crinkle toy and anything filled with catnip.
