Each and every one of us has experience with having a horrible day. So much so that songs have been written about it, including Daniel Powter's upbeat song "Bad Day" from the 2000s. It comes as no surprise, then, that there are several examples of how unfortunate one may be at various times on the internet.
When all the little, invisible angels that should be perched on your shoulders escape, karma is suspended, you roll the die and receive a zero, and... Guys, at some time in our life, we are all just a big group of incredibly unlucky people.
Look at the Merriam-Webster definition of luck to learn what it even means: "a power that provides good fortune or adversity; Luck was a key element in the outcome." Or perhaps it would be preferable to look at instances in actual life where this mystical force has mysteriously disappeared without a trace.
