20 Funny Comic Strips That Describe The Wholesome Life Of “Friendly” Witches

Daniel Figaro

Back in our childhood, there were thousands of fairy tales adapted to adorable animated films, such as Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, etc. Along with gorgeous princesses, brave princes, and lovely supporting characters, are many villains that once possessed our pure memories. They’re often portrayed in creepy looks and dark-colored clothes. But don’t you think their malignance doesn't embody their actual lives? Interestingly, many cartoonists have tried depicting what bad guys normally do when they are off work. Tell us if you’re excited as we’re introducing you to this super “freshy” and “hottie” comic series made by the legend Mark Pirisi! Be prepared!
Mark Parisi was born in 1961 in New England, well-known for his giant masses of cartoons, especially the “Off the Mark” series starting in 1987. At the Salem State University, he recalled the ology of Graphic Art being his firmest decision after so many times fixing his majors’ status. He soon discovered his inspiration to make comics from the trio Charles Schulz, Gary Larson, and MAD magazine.
The “Off the Back” series is printed in over 100 newspapers and a huge number of magazines, greeting cards, T-shirts, etc. Unlike works having four panels, these comics generally involve one-paneled and two-paneled strips that make them special without the complex drawings needed. Mark Parisi was offered the “Best Newspaper Panel” award by The National Cartoonists Society three times in 2008, 2011, and 2017. In 2013, the artist won another award named “Best Greeting Cards.”
Mark Parisi proudly got one of his cartoons used in several projects of Paul Newman, ‘Weird AI’ Yankovic, and the Dixie Chicks. He’s now working on others which are official Garbage Pail Kids sketch cards and “The Truth About 5th Grade” middle-grade novel, co-written with Kim Tomsic. “Keeps me busy and I think being busy is important right about now.”
Keep scrolling down so you are getting closer to the 20 Mark Parisi’s most popular comics about green witches with long noses and black hooded cloaks!
