Insane Boss Gets Slammed Online For Expecting Employees To Not Leave The Building During Lunch Break

Employment is rewarding, right? We devote ourselves to working. And in return, we get paid, have privileges to enjoy, and gain expertise. It'll be great if everything happens just like that. The relationship between employers and employees is a win-win where no one owes anyone anything. So, the main factor in maintaining the balance in this relationship is nothing but mutual respect.
If you have worked for several different companies, you'll agree with us that finding a job that has a good working environment is such great luck. But, usually, during our lifetime, we believe that all of us at least once have worked for a company with standoffish vibes that inevitably made our lives a living hell. Yes, people who sit in a high position can easily fall for dictatorship.
Each company and organization has a set of rules and regulations for employees to follow. However, sometimes the so-called bosses lose their minds and come up with utterly insane requests. A case in point is an employee who worked for a fast-food restaurant. They recently shared their story on the subreddit r/antiwork about how their new district manager requested that no one leave the building during lunch break.
Does that sound fair? During work hours, they pay employees to work so they can request employees to do or not do specific things. However, here they didn't pay for the lunch break, and they made such an absurd request? Well, what a shame on them. Employees these days are more vocal about toxic work environments. If the management is plain terrible or unethical, the company or manager will likely become the subject of online criticism.

Some managers indeed can go above and beyond, but it's to make the most out of every employee. This entitled boss, in particular, is out of their mind, indeed. They have no right to request employees to do anything during lunchtime because they are not paying for those times. Employees are simply not under their supervision, so who are they to demand?
