420ish Lbs SIL Destroys Beloved Garden Swing After Being Asked NOT To Sit In It, Family Drama Ensues

For a long time now, a marriage is never an affair between only two people. When a couple gets married, they form a connection between two families. So, it's like the number of your relatives suddenly doubles after one day. This sudden change is not easy for anyone. Remembering the names of all your relatives alone is a problem now, let alone remembering and adapting to their personalities.
Why is that? Why do we need to be concerned about the personalities of our in-laws? Because, you know, better safe than sorry. Even if they're your relative now, nothing can ensure that you'll get along well with them. But, because they're now your relatives, you'll need to be extra careful and thoughtful when handling even the most minor issue.
We always want our in-laws will be our new supporters, and we'll be able to adapt to that new tribe in no time. However, that's just not always the case. Some people are just unbearably obnoxious, no matter whether they're our relatives or not. And if you have such a relative, what will you do when they cause you trouble?
Redditor Fickle-Life-9867 may know the answer. The 35-year-old woman recently took her story to the AITA community after having a hard time getting along with her sister-in-law. Her oldest son got her an expensive hammock chair as a birthday present, ensuring her that “You never get anything nice. I wanted you to have it.” So, even though she hesitated at first, she accepted the gift eventually.
Unfortunately, her happiness didn't last that long. It turned into a tragedy after her sister-in-law tried it out during a weekly visit. “I told her to please not sit on it and she said ‘Is there a weight limit?’ So I told her yes,” the OP wrote. But, it looked like her SIL didn't take her words any serious, and proceeded to sit down in the hammock when she was away. So, the chair couldn't handle the weight of the woman and was torn apart.
This accident quickly turned into a fierce conflict in the OP family. There were words about the SIL body and more, and everything went on terribly. So, let's check out the full story down below, and tell us your thought about it.

The thing here is that her SIL clearly didn't listen at all. Maybe she felt that OP was lying to her, so she had to try it to confirm. What an entitlement! Even if OP was lying about that, it was HER swing. She reserved all rights to demand someone else not to touch her thing. Simple logic and etiquette, but SIL wouldn't understand.
After all, if someone is being unreasonable, make them stop it right there, even if they're your relatives. The sense of entitlement is indeed the most hated and problematic of all behaviors. Show them no tolerance!
