A couple in South Africa stayed in shock when they returned home and was greeted by unexpected guests - a pride of six lions resting on the first-floor balcony of their house.
“They don’t usually sleep on the patio like that. But we’re used to having animals around here, so we were just careful when we walked in since they might come through that glass,” said David.

David De Beer (the founder of building firm Davon Construction) and his wife Mariska arrived at their house on the Leadwood Estate to check its property when they got to experience the heart-stopping moment. A family of lions made themselves at home on the terrace because the house was for sale and no one was living inside.Source: David De Beer
Recovering from the fear, the pair reminded themselves that it wasn't the first time they spotted wild beasts in residential areas.“They don’t usually sleep on the patio like that. At first, the felines didn't notice the existence of the two humans, but they got startled as the couple closed the entrance door. The video captured from inside the house showed the animal family eventually padding off into the garden in the town of Hoedspruit.
